Hydrate & Detox
Meanwhile, wash everything down with water to help flush out any harmful toxins that leads to fluid retention. If depending on water all day is simply too boring for your taste, try dropping a couple of raspberries into your cup. Otherwise, you can start drinking nutritional green tea.
A detox diet will go a long way to getting rid of that cellulite.
You should eat a lot of anti-oxidants. You will get these in a lot of fruits and vegetables. Antioxidants are the best defence against free radicals in our bodies. You should have at least five servings of fruit and veg per day.
You should also drink green tea for a source of antioxidants. Green tea will also boost your metabolism and stops your body from releasing enzymes that cause the body to store fat.
You should have low-fat protein in every meal too because an increase in your muscle tone will reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Some Treatments for Cellulite
There are many different types of treatment available for those who suffer from cellulite. Some of them have not actually been confirmed by scientific research.
Laser assisted liposuction Is when small amounts of fat are removed. This is still being researched, but some people may believe that this will make the dimples worse.
Radiotherapy works for just the short-term. This is when cellulite is reduced by jst heating it.
Ionithermire cellulite reduction treatment is when the affected area is covered by mud or clay. The area is then wrapped in plastic and has an electrical current applied to it. It is not known if this treatment is effective.
Subscision is when a dermatologist inserts a needle under the skin and breaks up the connective tissue bands. The results of this can last up to two years.
Vacuum-assisted precise tissue release is when the bands are cut using small blades. When the bands are cut the tissue will move up to fill the space under the skin. The effects of this can last up to 3 years.
Endermologie is a deep massage with a vacuum device which will lift the skin. This has been approved as safe, but there is little evidence to prove it works.
There are some medications and creams that could treat cellulite.
Caffeine can dehydrate cells which will make them less visible. This would have to be applied daily as a cream and there are a number of creams which are available at your pharmacy.
Retinol can reduce the appearance of cellulite by thickening your skin. To see a result with this you will need to use it daily for at least six months.
There are a number of alternative solutions to cellulite such as herbal topicals, or some supplemental therapies which can be taken orally.
This will include such things as grape seed extract or Gingko Biloba.
